I'm just a girl figuring things out in the world. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things willbe given to you as well. Therefore do no worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." --Matthew 6:33-34

I'm Back!

Hey... so it's the night before classes, and I kinda figured it'd prolly be one of the few times I acutally get to write something on this site.  This year I'm taking Organic Chemistry.  It should be a killer.  Summer went well; I spent most my time working at a local vet clinic.  I learned a lot and had a great time!  =)

So here's to school, may we all survive!

I'm old...

So, yeah I know, It's been a crazy long time since I updated this thing.  Well here goes a try.

I turned 20 here a while ago.  So, I'm pretty much ancient now.  I'm not a teenager and I'm beginning to feel my age a bit lately.

The real reason I decided to update, is that I finished a book today.  I finished Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver.  It is an AMAZING book.  I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially women who are too busy for their own good.

Well, there's only a little over 2 weeks left in the semester and then it's SUMMER!  I can't wait!

Newho, off to the soon ending school work.

Forever Ago...

Wow, it's been ages since I updated this thing.

Since I'm avoiding finishing my CA application essays, I suppose I'll write a bit.  Yes, I've decided to apply to be a CA for next semester!  I'm excited about it, and Lord willing, I shall get the job.  This last week of school has been kind of crazy, I dont' like not having a set schedule.  I'm sure it will get itself worked out here before long, and I'll be going crazy with the "hum drums".    My classes seem pretty good.  They'll probably be much easier than last semester, which was absolutely CRAZY!  Physics though... could be a doosey.

This Christmas break was absolutely wonderful!  Other than relaxing a ton, and reading even more!  Check out my new additions to the "Books I've read since May 5th" list.  I added quite a few!!  My how I do LOVE reading.  I got to swim laps 4 times over break.  Monday seemed to be my swimming day.  It was fun, and I now have a new appreciation for swimmers.  Swimming makes you SUPER hungry, lemme tell you!

Additionally, I took my sister, Hannah, to TCX (Twin-Cities Experience) which is through Campus Crusade for Christ and is a 4 day conference all about God!  It was amazing! I really felt as though I connected with God and found some solid time to just sit, listen, and dialogue with Him.   The New Year's Eve Party as awesome as well.  I got to praise and pray the New Years in, and then we danced the night away.

Overall.. life's good, God's great, and I as always am unworthy, but greatful.

My Disney Character

I took a quiz online, and this is what it gave me for a result!

Is it accurate?!?!?!  Let me know!

Snowmobiling!!!

I TRIANGLE YOU!!

A Dec. 1st Blog

So... I wrote this Dec. First and my computer was being dumb.. so here it is..3 days late

Well... It's past Thanksgiving already.  Break was a much needed source of some r and r.  We saw a great showing of West Side Story at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on Friday Evening.  I love being home with my family!  I only wish I would have been able to ride my horse a few more times than just last Sunday.  Although, once is better than none.  =)

This week, being back was a bit of a wake-up call.  School hit hard with a test on Wednesday in my hardest class.  We'll see how it went...

It's crazy to think that there's just over 2 weeks left in this semester.  My how the time has FLOWN!

Oooo... went to the All-State concert with Hannah and Paige and some Springville students.  The concert was of course amazing.  It made me realize how much I miss the fine arts when I'm here at school.  I need to make more of a committment to going and seeing the ensembles that ISU has.  It was also good to spend some quality time with my sisters!

Newho, surviving until Winter Break...

A Tuesday...

So.. I've got a few minutes before I have to go work on a Political Science presentation on Puerto Rico (it's due tomorrow)....

Newho.. just thought I'd update

This weekend was pretty fun.  Friday night, went to FISH (Friday International Student Hospitality) at Memorial Lutheran Church and had Turkish food (YUM!), then helped clean up with the WSN team and other CRU people who were kind enough to lend a hand.  Then I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  The Oompa Loompas are WEIRD.. no me gusta mas.  It's a good movie but not much like the original. Then Saturday was the game!!!  Iowa State vs. Kansas State and my first time at an ISU football game!  I enjoyed myself, and we dominated the game 45-17!  Then, I got to work on some homework... seriously.. i had a ton, and a Poli Sci test on Monday (didn't go too hot.. but oh well.. all in God's plan).  It seems like this has been a Poli Sci week.    Sunday my family stopped by on their way back from Kansas City area (they flew into the airport) and we went to Hickory Park for lunch.  It was so nice to see them and spend some good family time.  I have a really crazy family... and I LOVE THEM!!
